Some recent listener feedback

Shutters Inc

Firstly let me start with reference to something that Bruce had mentioned, I think in episode 137.
You were quite concerned with the audio quality that you were able to present to listeners from the portable recorder used at Echuca, the audio on that episode was fine.
I have recently dabbled with other podcasts, and have since canceled all of the downloads except Shutters Inc.
Bruce the quality of the audio delivered by you leaves all others far behind, keep up the good work.
Thanks for the great pod casts not only in the information passed on but also the technical quality.

Sine Language

Bruce, I can only say, in my opinion, that the services you are providing are greatly appreciated.

Building the pod

I've only recently decided to get back into music production after a prolonged absence.
So, when it came to choosing a DAW, it came down to a choice between FL Studio and Audition.
Dollar wise, quite similar although FL Studio does offer more in the way of virtual instruments for this price range.
But I chose Audition for two clear reasons.
1. I really like the look and feel. The layout is just easy on the eye and made sense to me very quickly.
2. I knew I had a great teacher. I discovered Building the Pod through the Adobe web site and soon found Sine Language.
I have to thank you sincerely for your weekly tuition.
It has turned a somewhat severe learning curve into managable bite size pieces.
I simply can't overstate how thankful I am of your weekly podcasts.
Bye for now.

Shutters Inc – episode 119

Filed under: !Podcasts,FE,Leica,M8,model release form,Nikon,Shutters Inc — Bruce Williams @ 8:51

This week, Shelton talks about the first SLR he bought for his son, Nathan… a Nikon FE… for $40!
I asked Shelton what he knew about the Leica M8.
Shelton then talks about the issues for photographers shooting in public places, which led me to ask about model release forms.

No worries boys!! I got all of the podcast, and I have now even listened to it. Yeah!
With your discussion regarding leading your children into our beloved hobby, and teaching them how to to treasure their Nikons, I thought I would let you know of my experience. My daughter usually gets the hand me downs, and on her visit back to Australia last Chritmas, swapped her Nikon D70s for mother’s old D200, as mother now has a D300.
Our daughter has a good eye for seeing and has developed well as a hooby enthusiast over the past few years. Whilst living in London, and being able to travel into Europe so easily, she hasa a great portfolio of images which she will treasure forever.
As an example, she wanted to see Rally Finland last year, a round of the World Rally Championship. I had to find a couple of rally shots from her archives, get them printed, ship them to London. The prints were matted, and she took them to Finland for signing by the drivers. On her return to London, the signed and matted photos were sent back here to Australia.
She has now learned more of Photoshop Elements, and loves doing some post processing and displays her photos on Flikr for us, and all of her friends, to look at.
For us, she is able to so well share her travels with us by photos, from so far away.
Another great podcast this week, and look forward to more.
    Cheers
