Thought I give you a list of items that Shelton mentioned on the podcast. I've been using the Hoodman loupe since the very first moment it came out. Prior to it, I was using a modified DIY film negative loupe to view the back of my lcd. Can't imagine any outdoor photographer not using one. The few workshops that I attended, the loupe drew a lot of attention because like Shelton; they got "creative" when it came to viewing the lcd while in broad daylight.
I've used Nik Creative software suite since they first came out as well. I know that many of the features are in PS, but Nik makes my life a lot more simpler (as close to darkroom IMHO) because I'm not a computer wise. I literally live in Aperture and Lr with the Nik plug ins. If Lr had the print setup features like Ps, I would not bother with Ps ever again. Hoodman also makes a special eyeglass frame for us bespectacled shooters when your contacts decides to hate you.
